Cultural travel for families raising globally-conscious children
WorldlingTravel
About

A worldling is a person of the world. We help raise them.

Worldling Travel exists for families who believe a childhood spent meeting other cultures makes a more generous, more capable adult.

The founders

Worldling Travel was founded by two people who have spent their lives moving between cultures — and are now raising two small worldlings of their own.

Bernardo Trevilla

Bernardo Trevilla

Co-founder

Born in Mexico, Bernardo studied International Relations there and in Germany, and has lived in Mexico, Canada, Germany, Spain, and the United States. A decade in foreign embassies and guiding companies into new markets taught him to settle quickly into unfamiliar places — to read a culture, navigate the practicalities, and help others feel at home somewhere new. He has traveled to more than forty-five countries, and what draws him back is never the sights but the daily life: the markets, the meals, the ordinary rhythms that show how a place really works.

Nicole Perkins

Nicole Perkins

Co-founder

Nicole is a middle-school teacher with more than fifteen years teaching English-language learners in bilingual and international schools across the United States and Europe, working with children from nursery through high school. She has spent her career watching, up close, what travel and cross-cultural friendship do for a child's confidence, empathy, and curiosity — and she designs Worldling's trips with a teacher's eye for what children actually absorb, and what they carry home.

Together, Nicole and Bernardo are raising two daughters, who have already traveled with them to more than sixteen countries. They started Worldling Travel to give other families the same gift — early, formative encounters with other cultures that build empathy and lay the foundation for globally-conscious adults — while feeling secure and well-guided abroad.

What we believe

Children first, scenery second

We are an educational-travel company that happens to take you somewhere beautiful — not a vacation company that tolerates children. Every choice is made for what a child carries home.

Local hands, fairly paid

We work with local entrepreneurs and small operators rather than large companies, so more of what families spend stays in the communities they visit. Better trips and fairer ones, at the same time.

Calm over spectacle

We'd rather you feel cared for than dazzled. Small groups, honest pacing, and logistics handled quietly in the background.

Join the Worldlings

Families who travel with us join a growing community of Worldling families — children and parents building a more globally-minded way of seeing the world together. It's not a club with a card; it's simply who we travel alongside, and who hears first when a new journey opens.

Become a Worldling

Be the first to hear when new trips open.
